Meet your friendly guide from one of the many pick-up locations in and around Hobart early in the morning, board a ferry and enjoy the scenic beauty of Bruny Island.Your day begins with a drive to one of the beautiful local beaches. Along the way, make a quick stop at Get Shucked Oysters and Bruny Island Cheese Company to pick up your first tastings of the day: delectable cheese and freshly shucked oysters, served picnic-style (if it rains, a back-up plan is provided). There will be an opportunity to purchase oysters and cheese on the return journey.Afterwards, explore the region and look out for the infamous white wallaby and other native flora and fauna. Next, head down to South Bruny National Park to climb the Cape Bruny Lighthouse, known as Australia's oldest inhabited lighthouse. Continue with an exploration of the Neck Wildlife Zone and climb the steps of the Truganini Lookout, which connects North Bruny and South Bruny with 360-degree views.Following this, lunch at Hotel Bruny with dishes prepared using fresh local produce. The afternoon is devoted to more local delights with chocolate, fudge and honey tastings. Additional stops are planned at some of the guides' favourite places depending on the day.
