You'll also visit the remains of Dilsberg Fortress, where you'll hear the story of a tragic romance that has become part of the castle's folklore.Following the Neckar River, you'll continue to Eberbach. You'll have free time to try the Viktoria-von-Eberbach cake, said to have been enjoyed by Queen Elizabeth, or take a break for lunch on your own.Then it's time to put on your hiking boots. You'll climb the eroded vent of an extinct volcano on the highest mountain in the Odenwald and explore the surrounding landscape with your guide.After a short rest during the drive, you'll head to Hirschhorn Castle, Hesse's southernmost castle. Perched high above the Neckar River, it offers far-reaching views across the valley.
