From savoring traditional Arabic coffee and local dishes to discovering the aromas of oud and musk, this tour offers a deep dive into Saudi hospitality, music, and dance. End with a belly dance lesson and hear Amal’s personal stories that bring Saudi culture to life.Your journey begins with a traditional Saudi welcome at Hijazi Corner, where we explore the significance of hospitality in Saudi culture. You’ll be introduced to the ritual of removing shoes, sitting on the floor, and enjoying Arabic coffee.As we savour local dishes, Amal will share stories of the traditional cooking methods and discuss the role of gender in Saudi culture and its reflections in clothing and social interactions.Next, immerse yourself in the scents of Saudi Arabia as we visit an Arabian Oud store. Here, you will experience the ritual of burning Bukhur and learn about the origins of oud and musk.At the London Guitar Studio, discover the oud, a traditional Arab instrument, and hear stories of pioneering Saudi female musicians.The final stop of your tour is a dance school, where you’ll learn how dance has been a key part of Amal’s life. You will join Amal in a beginner-friendly lesson, learning basic belly dance steps, connection with your body and with the empowering movements.
