Where you'll meet
If you arrive from west, the tour begins at the junction of Highway 24 and Highway 12. If you arrive from east, you should follow Highway 24, driving westbound from Hanksville. Approximately 20 minutes after leaving Hanksville, the commentary will begin as you approach the eastern boundary of the Park. However, you can also join the tour at any point along the route and pick up commentary at the next stop.

* The visit to Capitol Reef National Park's major landmarks will take a couple of hours, but it's suggested to take an entire day to fully explore the park
* The total driving distance of the park routes is around 50 miles
* The Grand Wash Road is accessible only to vehicles under 27 feet (8.2m) long
